Skippy Worked His Magic in Mehlville

You won't read about it in the Oakville Call, but Milton "Skip" Ohlsen III worked on a volunteer basis for Michael Ocello when he defeated me for the Mehlville School Board. During the election in 2003, Mehlville School District parents were sent an anonymous flier that was less than flattering about me. OK, it was downright mean. I have received a couple of calls over the last few days telling me that these fliers and the ones from the Carnahan election look quite similar. Only two people requested the parents names and addresses during the campaign. That was Skip and myself. These are major violations in the campaign world. But did the Concord Call report on it. Of course not.

Heins, you're just a sore loser, not to mention wrong again!

2:00 I'm not sore at all, thank you, and what am I wrong about?

Do you think Ocello will issue a statement? (Do you think he should?)

Did you take the survey?

Most people I've talked to, don't even know about it.

Mike Heins, you are so full of yourself it's disgusting. You might as well write nothing but "Me me me me. Me me. Me me me me me me." That's pretty much how you came off in this post.

No, I don't find Skip Ohlsen to be a reputable character. In fact, I think he should be in jail. We at least agree there.

But Mikey, you're trying to make yourself look better by ripping on someone else. Isn't that a little too obvious that you're still hurt over that election? And that you are full of yourself? I'm convinced. Why else in the world would you possibly bring yourself into the same sentence as a lowlife like Skip Ohlsen? Mikey, you're a desperate little boy crying for attention. I hope you realize what a fool you make yourself out to be. You're your own worst enemy. You've got a decent brain. But it's polluted by your ego.

Good day, sir.

I said good day!

Mike I may not has always agreed with you, when you sat on the Mehlville School Board, but I am sure that you were at least an honorable man who did not associate himself with the likes of SKIP OHLSEN, a then already convicted cocaine dealer, and then pay him nearly $3,000 for his services. I wonder, if your opponent paid poor little and misunderstood Skippy’s a little more for his “extra” services. You know “extras,” lol. Given the well know but under reported problems of one opponent's bussines operations, the MEHLVILLE SCHOOL BOARD MEMBER formerly known as “GLITTER,” during the 2006 election, by using a cocaine dealer to manage his campaign demonstrates the level of contempt that he holds all people who proudly identify themselves as a part of the Mehlville community. I say resign GLITTER. Some in response to this thread decries SOUTH COUNTY MIKE as a poor looser, B.S. wrong answere, Its about how you play the game. Just a note for your good old friend GLITTER: GLITTER you define by the people you associate yourself with.

5;30 First, we don't agree on Skippy. I didn't say he should be in jail. The activities that I know of make him an unethical and illegal campaigner. I wouldn't suggest jail time for these offenses. As to my ego, yes, mine's pretty large, I admit, but what does that have to do with this story. I shared information, of which some I know personally, connected several dots, and have put together a story not covered by South County media, most especially the Call. Have I condemned Mike Ocello on this site or anywhere else? Have I criticized him for votes taken while on the board? The answer to both of these questions is no. I don't like losing a softball game, so losing an election wasn't fun for me. But I haven't done anything negative thing to Ocello and you're welcome to ask him. Go to mehlvilleschooldistrict.com or call 314 467 5001 and they'll give you his contact information. My feeling after the election is that the voters spoke. Since this story hit the Post Dispatch this week, I've gotten numerous calls and texts reminding me of the 2003 election and the Skippy connection. This has been a front page story for the Post and we have a South County connection which won't be shown in the Call, even though the Post mentioned it.
Thanks for your comments but you're way off base!

1;02 Thanks for your comments. In hindsight, I don't agree with me as a school board member on several issues. That's Ok, my wife and I disagree on issues all the time and there's no one I have more respect for. I don't know anything about these other issues that you've written about, especially drugs, but Skippy told me he was just a volunteer. I assumed that he was gifting his services because he was getting paid for Ocello's business' work. I don't think Ocello should resign. First, I have no connection to this
unethical campaigning to him personally. As to the business that he's in, the voters had ample information about it to make their decision. They chose to vote for him or stay home. Either way, I think voters deserve what they elect! Of course, all his business activities, previous campaigns and record should play an important part of voting decisions next time around.

12;17 Will he. I doubt it. Should he. Yes.

Ocello's 2006 victory was the product of a lot of shady shit and unethical tactics, just like Jeff Smith, and created by Skip Ohlsen. Ultimately, no matter how much, some may wish to distance Mike Ocello, from Skip Ohlsen, Ocello still hired him, and paid Skip “Multiple Convictions” Ohlsen for services rendered, and a “winning” campaign. At least, the Call, in its post-election, campaign finance article, in April 2006, listed Skip's Democratic Strategy Group, 101 Convention Plaza, Las Vegas, Nevada, as receiving campaign funds from the Committee to Elect Michael Ocello. Whatever the outcome of the Ohlsen connection is, Mike Ocello has been and still remains an embracement to South County and the Mehlville School District. Ocello, in his campaign literature, and at public forums, asserts how proud he is of what he dose; just watch him at any school board meeting. By the way, Ocello’s company, that he manages, in Minneapolis, is being sued by “ALL OF THEIR EMPLOYEES,” for defrauding them of the minimum wage, and for conversion of others’ personal property’s for use by this company. Currently, VCGH, Ocello’s company, is also under investigation by the U.S. Department of Labor. Ocello’s resignation should be based his moral turpitude, and for all that he is so proud of.

9;23 You make some good points, but I stand on my opinion that the voters should be stuck with who they elected. Had all of these facts been available, I doubt the voters would have been motivated change their votes or lack thereof. Any strong feelings you have should motivate you during future elections. As to giving the Call any credit whatsoever, that's just wrong. They intentionally withhold information on candidates they like until after elections. Information they have a candidates they don't like, no matter how petty, is repeatedly printed prior to the election with editorial comment and sought after letters to the editor.
