Closed Session Vote
A unanimous vote was taken to approve settlement offer by insurance
company with regard to the Strinni/Fleschert federal litigation.
Update:
From the District's legal counsel:
At this point, the District has reached a tentative resolution of the
litigation pending execution of a settlement agreement. The case
remains active in the Federal District Court, though we are hopeful that
a settlement agreement will be fully executed in the near future.

With a settlement,it makes one wonder....What did the fire board not want to come out in open court? What did the fire board not want the voting public to know? What spin the Call will put on this, that's if the Call even mentions it?
These type of settlements are usually dictated by the insurance company. In the eyes of the insurance company either you take the settlement that we are offering or the BOD can expect a possibility of cancellation or a rather large increase in premiums. Once the news travels through the channels of the insurance businesses the risk managers will make the cost of insurance not affordable. Either way there are no winners in this self-imposed situation (except for the attorneys).
Heavens! Could it possibly be there is more to this than The Call and Aaron Hilmer have told us?
Surely not!
There are two reasons to settle:
1. You can't afford to fight.
2. You figure you could lose.
Since Aaron isn't spending his OWN money, cost isn't an issue, as he has proven numerous times when dealing with lawsuits.
So, he must figure he could lose. And, as 9:07 pointed out, some of his nasty-ass tactics might become public knowledge.
Let's see how hard they try to cover up the specifics of the settlement...assuming Strinni and Fleschert accept the settlement the insurance company has offered.
Let's also hope it encourages others who have been screwed by these bastards to file similar suits.
The Call is to busy talking about J.K. And Strinni to even touch this issue. amazing Aaron destroys the Fire Dist and the call just wants to remind the public of J.K. who is on trial for something he might have done all on his own no connection to the fireman except he was employed by them.
Watch your potty mouth little boy:
Who Are you referring to 6:47 that sounds like a threat are you threatning people now.
