Mehlville Fire Protection District Demotes Another Senior Administrator
Clearly the Mehlville Fire Protection District has a leadership problem! Over the last 5 years, numerous individuals have come and gone from their senior staff positions. But this week, Assistant Chief Jim Hampton was been demoted to Captain and assigned to Six House. Word is, the chief wanted to see the former star assistant knocked down to private. As a civilian observer, I can't keep track of all the comings and goings of this administration, but I do know the one who stands alone at the top, Chief Tim White. The Chief has a lot of explaining to do!

This is got to put egg on Whites face. First he promotes him to Assistant Chief because in Whites eyes he did an outstanding job as a Deputy Chief. Then Hampton can't take Whites crap so he request to go back as a Deputy Chief. This was granted. Now White says he is not doing the job as Deputy so lets demote him to Captain. WOW Whits judgement on promoting individuals is beyond believe. THE ONE THAT SHOULD BE DEMOTED OR FIRED IS WHITE: When is the Board going to wake up and see that they promoted an IDIOT to fire chief.

It has become quite evident that Chief White has defined the Ultra Peter Principle. The Peter Principle is defined as one being promoted to one level above one's competency. This often happens in the world of business. In our Chief's case, he was promoted to captain and worked only 40 shifts in that position before being promoted to Chief. He proceeded to demote every capable leader in the district, often after just promoting them. Just yesterday, one of experienced administrators was lauded for his leadership during the 9/11 crisis. People take leadership in disaster response for granted. Remember when we had Hurricane Katrina. The head of FEMA at the time was a guy named Brown. Brownie's experience prior to his appointment to lead this federal agency was in organizing horse shows.

Hey Jimbo, so much for going to the engine houses and tell all the employees what a great place this is. Timbo took you out just like he did Silvernail, and Mossotti. The BOD should have fired you. Now whos ass you going to kiss now. My guess is you'll try and rejoin the union, dont bother, you have proven yourself time and time again.
Mossotti had ten times the resume then Tim White and should have been Chief not a pawn to Stonebraker. By the way all of this took place in the last year.
1. David Waser could not take the Chiefs ignorance and ask to get out of Administration.
2. Steve Mossotti was pushed our of Administration do to White being
threathen by him.
3. Kent Snelson as to go back to Captain for the same reason as Waser.
4. And now Jim Hampton.
What has not respect from the Disricts that border Mehlville including Lemay, Crestwood and Fenton. The Chief's of these District fell he is incompetant.
White has only hurt the Public relations of the District by turning down events from any organization that might represent labor or friends of local 1889.
The above speaks for it self:
White is intimidated by anyone whose experience and knowledge exceeds his...that's just about everyone except the newbies with wet ink on their certificates. He can't stand to see the looks in their eyes when his shortcomings are exposed so he gets rid of them.
Wonder why this department is a laughingstock in fire service?
Every resident of this district should be alarmed. You call 911, you have NO IDEA what's going to show up. If a major disaster occurs, we will have this jackass running the scene and people will die.
Theres two words that describe the trouble of the MFPD. TIM WHITE. This is what happens when you promote by ass kissing instead of merit.
So Chief White you are perfect: I don't think so. You have know thought what you are doing. I understand the men and woman of Mehlville think you are a joke after demoting Hampton. By the way all of us know what went on in the board meeting RE. Demotion of Deputy Chief Hampton we also know what went on before and after the meeting. Chief you are a disgrace to both Mehlville and the Fire Services and you should resign.
Speaking of Tim White does anyone know why we didnt see him at MDA, with the Chiefs.OH, thats right MDA never did anything for Him or this Daughter.
Silvernail, I know you read this blog spot. Did Bonnie Stegman really call you an apoligize for promoting Timbo? You have been telling people that, why dont you step up to the plate once in your life.
Maybe you should request the letter that Chief Hampton wrote to the Board requesting a demotion. The fact is, Hampton asked to be a Captain and the Board honored his request. No conspiracy here.

5:09 Who said anything about a conspiracy? I'm sure I couldn't get that letter from the district since it's about a personnel issue. The district doesn't give the documents they're required top by the Missouri Sunshine Law. I wouldn't expect them to give me something that don't have to. Though they might, since Hampton has fallen out of favor and they may want to embarrass him. He may very well have requested the demotion. I don't dispute that. That doesn't change the point that it must be so miserable for anyone with any competency to work inside this administration.

Tim Moore was offerd a chance to resign or get fired thats how it works in the public servent society. To keep his job Hampton probably did agree to write a letter requesting to be returned to capt. and play nice with chief 2 face. Thats how the BOD works make us look good and we will let you keep your job. But there is no way around this one Timmy again looks like a fool and Hampton looks like a bigger one for letting this group get away with the harsh treatment of his brother firefighters.

Maybe Timbo should start taking advice from JS(Jim Silvernail) instead of JS( Jim Stonebraker). Ran into a person that went to High School with the hypocrite Timbo, it appears Timbo and Jimbowl had alot in common. No wonder he listens to him.
It is legal to tape public meetings without the knowlede of those elective officials that are residing over the meeting. It would be my suggestion that you who attend the Mehlville Fire District meetings put a tape recorder in your pocket. I would also suggest to you firefighters have one in your pocket at all times while on duty. Then when White lies you have it on tape.

I heard Forsyth has already bought new horns for his collar and a new thermos to keep his kool-aid in. After all he and Cardona built the new fit for duty props to help white get rid of employees. Cardona just got his promotion. Now it is Forsyths turn.

I had a little bird tell me that when Chief White was at the International Assoc. of Fire Chief's conference he went to sit down at a banquet with other Chief's and they asked him to leave that he was not welcome. THE CHIEF THAT NO BODY LIKES:

I heard the same thing about the Chiefs. What do you expect? They are all envious of White. They all know he is the only truly qualified chief in the metro area not a political appointment. With his vast leadership and management knowledge and an IQ well into the mid 50s how could they possible converse with him on his level.

Just heard about another employee being fired. Its funny but Assistant Chief Hendricks has told a few of us that the Chief Officers were not in favor of him being fired and he was going to try and convence Chief White not to recommend that. White sure doesn't take and advice from his Chief Officers, SHAME ON HIM:

I for one feel that Assistant Chief Hendrick should be the Fire Chief. He knows more about firefighting and cares more about the employees then Chief White.
At least they shouldn't have to worry about Appel too much Management knows he can't keep his big mouth quiet about anything and the employees know he is to stupid to pass the Deputy test. Although he did get special help for the Captains test.
Silvernail, how long are you going to let Timbo and this Board make you look like an a!!. First he takes out your boy Mossotti, now its one of your past employees sons. Grow a set, you can make a difference.

Aarons school chums in charge of the district thats a laugh. Jason,Brian and Aaron the Holy trinity of fire fighting what a joke.
I am saddened to read and hear from fire department employees about Chief Hendricks. I always heard that he was a very well respected and liked person. Apparently that is not the case. It would appear that he and his family have conspired with Chief White and Hilmer to make money and advance his career at the expense of the taxpayers and very qualified employees. It is very obvious that deals were made between Hilmer, Hendicks father and brother to reap them a $100,000 dollar profit in 1 day at the expense of the taxpayers. Deals had also been made with White to get rid of Massotti so that Brian could move into the Assistant Chiefs position. How sad that Brian would be part of ruining such a highly qualified and respected persons career in order to get ahead. I have been told that his peers thought he could have been a good chief officer but instead he has become a bitter vindictive person that has no respect for the employees. Just like his boss.

I would have say Chief White better watch his hindside from Assistant Chief Hendricks. Everyone know that he is after White's ass and will probably suceed in the future. I believe if it comes to a tug a war Hendricks will win.
Brian Hendricks as Chief, that’s a joke. You think he would be better than White? He has become a perfect clone of White. I have heard that White carries him in a sling and calls him Minime.
I know for a fact that some of the board would rather have Hendricks as Chief and his time will no dout be coming.
