Fire Board Complies with Law

Just 24 hours after I contacted the Missouri Attorney General's Office, the fire district has decided to comply with the law. It shouldn't have taken a complaint by me to get it done but at least there is progress.

Mike, is it me or do they not like you over at the "truth det.?" It seems they waste a lot of band width slamming you.

I see the latest remark said you said you were a "journalist?" I thought we said something about that a while back.

Ah well, fame and fortune however you can get it, or as has been said "Me thinks the lady doth protest too much!"

Tom,
I'm starting to think Mr. Stonebraker doesn't like me. Funny, I seem to remember a long time ago reading on his 1 person BLOG that he was all about open government. How could he possibly have a problem with me asking them to comply with Missouri's law to post their regular meetings? If they do take me off their media list, I will file a complaint. There's no way for people to have a way to find out about their meetings in a reasonable amount of time before the meeting. Last year, more often than not, they met at irregular times. And those were only posted 26 hours ahead of time and not at the firehouses as required by law.
Did you notice that the fellow that sold the land for the new firehouse was the guy, Darrel Climer, who had to sue the Milligans and the "Paper" when the deadbeats refused to pay their rent. Look back at Legal Problems in January. I think I'll have to do a ten part series about the Call's legal problems. Stoney Stonebraker told me to shut up. That was a mistake.

We thought you didn't read the Call or the Truth Spot.

Aren't they really one in the same?
We refer to them as the HAMS network. That stands for Hilmer, Anthony, Milligan and Stonebraker.
I don't read either one, but I have caught portions of both. I, frankly, feel a litle slimy after catching a glimpse of either. Usually I know about what's in them because people call me. Their upset about the half truths and inaccuracies. I don't have much sympathy for them. They should know better than read them. If I don't know about them from a phone call, it's because somebody dropped something off at my door. This is where I get my best stuff. I've got arrest reports, investigation reports, and all kinds of documents about these scoundrels. You have some problems trusting what I say, well perhaps you've been listening to what frauds, wifebeaters and drug dealers have been telling you for so long that your having trouble handling the truth. Pardon me if I sound a little too much like Jack Nicholson's character in " A Few Good Men". Seriously, you may not agree with my opinions, you may not like my politics or the way I shoot pool, but if I say it, it's the truth. I've spent my life in highly trusted positions and unlike many of these guys, I've never worn handcuffs.

They did the same thing last year but lets see if they follow it. They didn't follw it last year why would they they follw it this year ?

You certainly can't predict what these guys will do. They don't have much respect for the law but at least several of us are beginning to hold them accountable.
