On Sept. 21st, 2006, MFPD Board Chairman Arron Hilmer wrote this to the Call Newspapers.
"The owner of a $200,000 house will save $694 this year alone and this does not include taxes on cars, boats, etc. which are taxed at even a higher rate."
I live in a $195,000 home and my taxes are down $74. That includes the taxes on my cars.
The Call continues to promote this propaganda.

I wish that this was the only number that was this far off but its not. In the last election material, um im mean update from the board I am unsure but the union either cost the district $110000 or 1.8 million and as much as a new fire house. big difference. Tell me mike if prop 1 & 2 Pass do you think anyone will even notice when after saving 10 million dollars tax payers dont see even a little bit of a drop. Sooner or later that story will be busted and people will realize that it was all smoke and mirrors.
$195 thousand dollar house. Thats very sad. I hear thats what a firefighter makes in a year. Well I havent heard the number in a while so I am sure that it is up to that. If any public reads this and dosent understand I joke because it is a joke. If joe the plumber saw he salary figured by this board he would faint. Dont know if anyone in the public would understand what costs the board tries to throw in those numbers or not but if every thing that person has ever recieved got put into their numbers I would love to see what Ryan makes from the schools or what bonnie makes from the hospital or shoot what oh never mind I dont think it would change hilmers numbers much to see his well ok there are none for his job, well ok lack of. oh shoot im not sure what he does. But hey he did a great job screwing up the fire district. If he wanted if free he could have just did it the easy way. Moved to the country where they have a volunteer fire dept. I am sure the trust fund would have followed him. Thats a great Idea. Hey hilmer bonnie ryan move to washington county or ste. genevieve county or i dont care pick another county and move there and quit screwing up ours!
