Just so you don't think I've cherry picked my own tax records to show you how the fire board has lied about saving us 600 bucks a year, let's look at another person's taxes.
Mehlville Fire Board Director Boniface Stegman resides at 6039 Cardinal Creek, 63129.
Her real estate bill from 2005 shows she paid $299.25 for the fire department.
In 2008, she paid $242.24. This adds up to a savings of $57.01 last year. It's difficult to put an amount of money you feel would be worth risking the lives of your family but I guess Stegman thinks $57 is that amount. All the while, she has burning through the department's financial reserves. Great job Mrs. Stegman!

Either you're lying or you don't understand taxation at all. But didn't you vote to put a 97-cent tax-rate increase on the ballot when you were on the school board. Apparently you Bozos don't get it. The real savings has occurred as a result of the voluntary roll back of the tax rate by the board. If Hilmer and Stegman hadn't been elected in 2005, the tax rate levied would have been $1.22? What's so hard about that to understand?
The fire district won't save much from your poor ass.

It really is great to get some info on the catastrophy at the Mehlville Fire District that isn't propaganda about how the firefighters are selfish or evil or whatever other nonsense can be made up to slander them. Keep up the good work. People want to hear it!

Well with a few questionable tatics bonnie won the election. I love how the wet spot tried telling everyone that mfpd only spent ten thousand dollars and firefighters spent thirty thousand dollars. I guess that they arnt counting the thirty or fourty thousand dollars that the district spent campaining for her are they. oh well its a sad day. I hope these people get pissed and demand some answears when they wake up and realize the tax rollback that was going to save them ten billion dollars wont make one cent difference in their tax bills. In the next 3 years the MFPD will consist of 50% of the employees having 3 years or less of experience. Just think of all the money that will be saved!
I find it funny that all the BOD supporters can manage to say are snide comments and single out Mr Skelton. While the ppl who question these blogs and try to understand theses screams of tax fraud and missappropriation. Are abused and told they r stupid bye the BOD supporters seems to me the public has a right to know exactly what goes on at the board meetings
