I was reading a letter in the Call News by Carl Bearden on fire districts. He stated the other fire districts in the state should by like Mehlville. My question what is Mr. Bearden on to think like that are could it be he is friends with others that have stolen the fire district blind. To name a few. Stonebrakers band member (Ambulance billing) State Rep. Mike Leara (Pension) Deen eagerdeen (Insurence)Mr. Hendricks (Property for station #4) Both of his kids are firefighters with the one (Brian Hendricks) being promoted to Assistant Chief when he had no formal education or was not certified in any fire related certification. WHAT THE HELL DOES THAT TELL YOU. Oh by the way Brian was a classmate of Hilmers and his brother Jason made up the contract for the purchase of the station property. Tim White the Chief (Rat to the board) I could go on and on with all of these handouts but there is not enough room on this blog site. Mehlville has most inexperienc firefighters in the area, No experience person wants to work at a place that you will sooner or later get killed because the Chief, Assistant Chief and Training Officer is no way quaified. Also no other fire agencie around Mehlville respects either there Chief or Board because of the crazy rules that have been put in place and the way White lies to them. I recent the letter that Bearden put in the Call and I have to wonder how much this Idiot was paid.

i would suggest that USMC68 refrain from representing something that he is not or produce his DD214 as proof he is a veteran. It is insulting to real veterans who served their country for someone who dodged their service to their country and they should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Post your DD214 and prove yourself a veteran or change your name.

What I see here is the destruction of the middle class so the rich can take over the country and rule forever. without a middle class, unions, and people who make a good wage. How will the rich ever lose an election. Money unfortunately is what makes elections fair. Look at what the Corporate Supreme Court ruled when they said corporations are people. They allowed corporations to spend whatever they want to take control of the country.
Look what is happening locally with the fire department in Mehlville where I reside. They use Fire Department money to print false information like the Call or the Hotline. They put union members social security numbers with name and addresses on the internet. They promote any idiot that will go along with them to a management position. They buy property from their cronies and give their kids positions in management, they send contracts for insurance to their friends, all for a profit for themselves. Sounds like a mini Bush Administration. The people of South County need to wake up and and put a stop to this criminal behavior.

You make a very good point about conservatives and there war records. They love to start wars and kill people as long as they don’t have to participate in the real action. Look at Dubya’s record. Daddy got him a spot in the Champaign Brigade in Texas even though he had one of the lowest scores of anyone who applied. He was assigned to learn to fly a jet that was being taken out of service assuring him he would never go to Vet Nam. It only cost taxpayers back then about 1 million dollars for his training. Good investment for the taxpayers. Then there was the the war hero Dick who chose himself to be the Vice President to the idiot who became President with the help of the Supreme Court. He got five deferments before he knocked up his wife and was permanently deferred from serving his country. He got his chance to shoot someone when he shot his friend while he was drunk. That happened when he was on a “safari” killing drugged birds on a private ranch in Texas. What a hunter! Dick is quite a man. I could go on forever listing the cowards that served in the Bush Administration. What a waste of eight years and more so the waste of blood and treasure these idiots used to make themselves rich at the expense of the American Middle class and the men and women who died or were crippled for the rest of their lives. Mike, I came across your Blog by a stroke of luck. I have just moved into Lemay and it is a very strange place to live as it seems there is no real government here. No real building codes. No regulations to make the place safe to live in. I came here for a job at the new casino. I came across your site when I was researching the fire department. I reviewed a lot of your posts and was shocked at what people had to say about the Mehlville fire department which is supposed to help the Lemay fire department in the event there is a fire at the casino. It seems that there is a fellow that undermines fire departments. He better hope he never needs them. Fires are horrible things and you need the best to fight them. This is for USMC68. I just moved here to take a job at the casino in Lemay. I compiled this mesage for you from posts I have read. Here is some free advice: You seem to have a vendatta against professional first responders. You should think about this a little, these people may have to come to your home to save you and your loved ones. Would you want a butcher to perform surgery on you? I would think not. You would want the best trained and most experienced person to do your surgery. Would you not want the same caliber of professionals to rescue you from your home if it was on fire? I would think you would. Experince and training make all the difference in a successful rescue. Why would you want to undermine that? People, and especially children panic when caught in a fire. If it were you and your family would you want untrained volunteers sent to rescue you to save a few dollars of tax money? Would you want the fire hoses made in China? Why not hire illegal immigrants to run the fire department. It would save money if not lives. Is this the type of protection you want. I think you would change your mind when you feel your skin bubbling on your body and watching your wifes hair in flames as her skin melts away from her face. Hearing the little ones screaming for Daddy to help them and not being able to locate them because of the smoke. Go to a burn ward at a hospital and see what fire does to people. It’s not a pretty sight.
You may dislike them because of what they earn and that they belong to a union. But if you ever need them, you will want the best trained and most experienced people there are and you will be glad when they show up. You also have no right to deny your community the protection they deserve. You are not a government of one. By no way am I condeming the new firefighters, however when you have one half of your firefighters leave in a three year period and hire new replacements that is very dangerous to both the public and the firefighters that are going in with them. Thank you for the complement on my post, but I think all credit is due to Mike because he manages this site and takes the heat that people who don’t like the posts he publishes. He also seems to get a lot of insulting words thrown his way. People who do this are childish and retaliate with insults out of ignorance. A real man or woman would reply with an opinion and not an insult. They would also give an opinion that makes sense and let an honest dialog be presented. This is the only way things are resolved. You only have to look at our government and see the waste of time that goes on up there with the constant childish arguements and nothing happens to help our country progress.
The trouble with our country now is that we seem to be driving ourselves to the lowest denominator. The reason for this is that when a country has two classes of people, the lower class has no say and the upper class rules. If anyone disagrees with this all they have to do is look at history. There will always be people who want to control everyone else. They are scared of freedom and want complete control over everyone else. They want two classes of people, the rich and the poor because if there is a strong middle class they lose their control.
I think if you look back in history you will see why the United States broke away from England. You will also see why Eastern Europe broke from the Soviet Union. Thats why we have to be careful about the Conservative Movement in the United States. They want a rich and a poor soceity here.
We have to get rid of phony people who claim what they are not. We have enough of them in our government. It’s time we all get up and vote.

Everybody is new to their job at some time. There's nothing wrong with new firefighters and paramedics as long as they are integrated into the department gradually by means of attrition such as the natural rate of retirement.
However, Hilmer and his tactics have -- from the outset and quite deliberately -- led to massive premature retirements, resignations and firings.
He has irresponsibly promoted dullards like White and other sycophants to positions they are frighteningly unqualified to hold. There is no respectable leadership at any level from the top down.
As a result, we now have a department peopled by the inexperienced blind leading the blind. Worse, the situation will not improve for the foreseeable future because as soon as anyone achieves any level of competence, they bail out of this poisonous atmosphere in favor of a better department.
They are a danger to one another and residents.

What needs to be done here is that everyone that knows a truth to Usmc68’s lies and phony alias’s needs to come forth and agree to hire a lawyer and swear in an affidavit as to what they know and that it is irrefutable truth to the best of their knowledge. Their can be no lies and nothing withheld. Everything has to be true to the best of your knowledge. Any crimes you are aware of must be brought forth and be told. You will need a lawyer and I am sure the Union has a very good one that will represent you. If you are sure that what you know can be proven in court, have your lawyer review it and present it in court. You need not fear anything if you speak the truth. This is the only way you can prevent the destruction of your jobs and put these people in the place they belong. They have a powerful organization behind them, and will use it to put fear in your life. Remember that they are not god and can be defeated with the truth. They use fear because it works for them. Don’t let them scare you.

Mehlville only has 5 ambulances and the IDIOTS don't want mutual aid with other districts, so what would they do if they needed 20 ambulances. Troy, Mo. (KSDK) -- Someone has filed a lawsuit against an anonymous blogger who posted on Troy Topix.
The law firm of Flynn & Davenport, LLC in Troy, Missouri, filed the suit on behalf of their client in Lincoln County circuit court.
Two counts of libel and international infliction of emotion distress are alleged in the lawsuit.
The plaintiff is seeking damages in excess of $25,000 and punitive damages.
The firm said the subpoenas will be served in order to ascertain the identity of the anonymous defendant. Once the person's identity is revealed, the defendant will be named and added to the suit.

Hey, let's play nice. Nobody wants a lawsuit, certainly not me. I'm guessing there won't be any about comments on this site for a variety of reasons.
1. I'll only tell the truth and it's a darned good defense against a defamation suit and, of course, there can't be libel where the truth is concerned.
2. Most people are just giving opinions. They have a constitutional right to do so. That's why the Call gets away with writing really ignorant stuff in their editorial section. Sadly, people don't realize what's fact and what's editorial(normally fiction).
3. If someone thinks something untrue is written about them, they can give me their name and we'll exchange e-mails. If I find anything untrue, I'll correct it and make it known. I've done that before. Stonebraker and I have done this although I stood by my writing.
4. People can pretty much say anything they want about elected officials and get away with it. That's the only reason Bill Milligan and the Call haven't given me big money. I have that from one of the top attorneys in town. Personal note: just because someone can get away with it legally, doesn't mean I'll post outlandish comments about elected officials.

I think the Private ambulance service should take over the Mehlville Ems services since they will be calling them for all calls when there five little ambulances are out, plus most of the new employees at Mehlville come from the private sector anyway. Mehlville doesn't deserve the right to be in the ems business and having a Chief that knows nothing about Emergency Medical Services. OH hell he doesn't know jack sh-t about the Fire Service either.
What is wrong with private ambulance companies, I work for one and our service is twice as good as the Mehlville Fire Department. In fact most of our undesireable employees went to work for Mehlville.

Mehiville has a long way to go to compete with the rest of the St. Louis County fire departments in both fire and ems services. At least the other fire departments or retaining there employees and have Chief Officers that have experience including the fire chief.
