Mr. Stonebraker's Inaccuracies

This morning,I was sent some comments from the South County Truth Spot that needed correcting:
An outside consulting firm was hired to revamp the management and culture of the Mehlville FPD. The South County Truth Spot sees this action as a very positive step to provide a harassment-free workplace and a change of the District's culture. While the MFPD moved forward with their proposal, the only one submitted, there is no contract, so no one was hired. Also, please note, the only one found guilty of harassing anyone has been the department's chief, James Silvernail. He was hired by Bonnie Stegman and Aaron Hilmer on the sole recommendation of James Stonebraker.
We are also told that two of South County's biggest losers, failed write-in candidate Dennis "Jaw Breaker Skelton" and former Mehlville Board of Education Secretary, Mike Heins (TruthDetector: Heins was defeated for reelection by a strip club owner) were sitting together observing the official proceedings. Mr.Ocello is the president of a company that owns many of these clubs, he's not the owner. If being defeated by someone he doesn't respect is a knock on me, what does he think about John Ashcroft being defeated by someone who was deceased? Perhaps, I can get appointed as the next United States Attorney General?

Pretty impressive that you were noticed at the MFPD board meeting. I can only hope that more taxpayers will begin attending. According to the official web site, the next meeting is June 19 at 7:00. Do you know if this is accurate?

Only der Chairman Hilmer knows for sure. I'll monitor their building and post it when I find out. Unfortunately, you will only have 24 to 48 hours notice. Again, no other public entity does this and no other would get away with it. What a shame, the Lemay Fire Department is far ahead of ours in community outreach.

Mr. legal advisor the law only requires 24 hour notice of any political subdivision to post there meeting agenda. The law does not require and agenda to be posted on any web site. So before you open your big mouth, no what you are talking about.

SouthCountyMike said...

You are so silly! I did not say the fire district violated the law by not posting their meetings on its website. Yes, the Sunshine Law only REQUIRES that meetings be posted 24 hours in advance, but all other public entities post them far ahead of their meetings. See the Lemay Fire Department's website for an example. The Call ignores this fact. Also, the Sunshine Law isn't the only Missouri law that requires postings of fire district meetings. I k(no)w what I'm talking about.

The hell you do: And your wrong all political subdivisions do not post more then 24 hours. Why don't you go to the AG office, I know others that have on this issue and his comment is (NO LAW BROKEN)

South County News, have you seen the Truth Spot blog. I sure think that person does not like you are that guy named Skeleton. I read his blog for the first time and that person says you guys do some very bad thinks. Is that true.

Jim Stonebraker instituted the website posting of meetings at Lemay. He did a great job there.

Hey mike I was just reading the truth detector website, and let me tell ya, the articles on there, are just absolutely idiotic. There is also some very strange writers on the boycott website who sound just like the boneheads on the truth detector. If anyone believes anything these guys are saying you need your head checked. Sorry to hear them attacking your family, it just shows what a new low these folks are going too and guess what, they are trying to bring down south county with em. All because of a few tax dollars.

8:10 You bore me. I pledged to be nicer on my blog but you really have no idea what you are talking about. 8:25 I haven't been to the Wet Spot in months so I don't know to what you are referring. I'd be more than happy to answer any specific question about something the Truth Defector says I did. The owner of the bog, James Stonebraker has a history of telling tales about people. He likes to say people are drug users a lot. That's why Stoney prfers to be anonymous. This way, he can avoid litigation. He reminds me of that Reverend Swaggart preaching about the evils of sex, while he was out getting all he could. As you can see, I'm not anonymous. My name's on my blog and my name, address and number are in the phone book. I stand by what I write.
12:07 Since Hilmer said James Stonebraker was his mentor and James started that in Lemay, Hilmer should get like all the other fire districts and public entities in S. County and post them also.
1:07 Thanks for the kind words. I certainly hope the family stuff goes away. You are so right.

I am really getting sick and tired of you people saying only a few tax dollars. I am paying almost $4:00 per gallon of gas and trying to make ends meet and you bast---s say only a few tax dollards. You all can kiss my royal ass if you think I am going to bash the Mehlville Fire Department when they are the only political agency giving us tax payers a break:

It's funny you mention the truth detector writes things that are not true. He had an (finally one that isn't cut and pasted) thatsaid you can now vote on lowering your property tax. HAHAHA, um I think he's wrong. I'm sure you would of seen this in the news and/or in other news papers. It's just another lie.

And you don't LIE

A very strange thing happened on my computor last night. I looked at the "truth spot?" and when I clicked off, it took me right to the on line call site!

Are these guys in "cahoot's" or what?

I guess that was your punishment for going to the Wet Spot.

The Governor signed SB 711, that allows a vote on tax decreases yesterday. MFPD's Board will place 2 tax decrease measures on the April 2009 ballot. Local 1889 and Dennis Skelton will not be able to stop it this time.

Anonymous said...

5:17 Have these tax decrease measures been discussed at a Board Meeting? Unless you are one of the three board members, how is this information public? Where can I get this information? I haven't seen it on the agendas that are on the web site. Other public entities have open board books to peruse. Is there somewhere to find this for the Fire Board.

Anonymous said...

HELL EVERYONE KNOWS THAT WILL BE ON THE BALLOT IN 2009: I have not heard it from the board are anyone else but you know its going to happen.

Anonymous said...

If it is on the ballot, I am going to vote for it.

What is the real issue behind the time and negative energy put into the Truth Spot? MFPD is being degraded, misrepresented and broken to save how much in tax dollars? When so much more is paid in real estate, sales tax, dare I go on -- fire tax is puny beyond compare. So there has to be more below the surface. What has MFPD civil servants as a whole, done to deserve this hostility. In a politically correct world, generalizations wouldn't be made as they are in the Call and on the Truth Spot. All employees of MFPD are being crucified. Would think that the Truth Spot, by it's own name, would be specific and factual when defaming what is a group of good people serving their community. The time and negative energy could be much better spent trying to get the Oil Companies to lower their prices, or CEOs to limit their huge profits and retain American workers. Truth Spot - not sure about your world, but mine has war, low dollar rate, falling stock prices, job insecurity, and so many things that need to be addressed. Leave the Firefighters and Paramedics alone. They are giving up more than you can know being in this line of work, while giving much back. In today's economy, the cost is one of the lowest tax rates paid by residents. Go after the big fish (the millionaires/ billionaires)...you certainly have the ambition to make yourself heard.

Found an article on the Truth Spot published by MIKE ANTHONY
(Executive Editor - Call Newspapers)
on July 09, 2008. Article named: "Time For Mehlville Firefighters' Union to Start Working with Board". Ironically, the article began: "Two tax-rate-decrease measures are being proposed for the April ballot by Mehlville Fire Protection District Board of Directors Chairman Aaron Hilmer." While reading, questions came to me...why does the title of this article just mention Firefighters....what about the Paramedics/Fire-Paramedics? Are they unimportant? Or does the BOD only have issue with the Firefighters? The question leaving me to ponder after reading the article....what does the tax decreases Hilmer plans to put on the April ballot have to do with or without MFPD employees working with the BOD?

At the very end of the article, a comment made by the Truth Spot:
(TruthDetector: Local 1889 members still have time to negotiate a pay and pension increase if they act quickly. New union officers must replace the current president an secretary who were terminated from employment due to violation of the District's anti-harassment policy. MFPD employees have much to gain and nothing to lose by electing new union leaders who will finally represent their interests and pursue a sane relationship with the Board of Directors.)

Unless I'm missing something, doesn't sound like the Truth Spot, Call or BOD are reaching out to MFPD employees to make the workplace better or come to commonground.....sounds like they are bullying the MFPD employees and Union members. Actually, sounds like a bribe to me....isn't that illegal?

Yeah the heroric Men and Women of the Mehlville Fire District are indeed being baited. They have 2 options,
1. Take the needed pay increase, maybe keep the lawsuits to a minimum and risk being labled again as "money hungry" and "lining their pockets" All in the eyes of the truth spot and the call.

OR

2. Don't take the needed raise, fight for what they believe in, continue taking a un-needed beating and be labled again as "continuing to screw the taxpayers" and "no hope for the employees" All in theeyes of the truth spot and the call. And some how Hilmer will come out looking like a is the man, makin the employees look like fools. Same old story different day, I'm not buying it anymore. Just a citizen

Amen 3:24 & 3:35.
Finally, someone is listening.
If Hilmer and his sycophants were purged from office today it would still take a decade to BEGIN to repair the damage they have done to this district in the name of "reform". The effects of the loss of experienced personnel and the miserable reputation they have fostered for the district will haunt their hiring selection for a long, long time.
Contrary to what the Call and Stonebraker's TruthDefector would have you believe, these men and women are neither stupid nor corrupt. They are enraged to their very marrow by three years of insults, baiting tactics, deception, blatant Republican back-scratching, misleading statistics and outright lies put forth by this BOD, Stonebraker and the Call.
The lawsuits will now move to the federal level as the fired union president and secretary respond to Hilmer's egregiously discriminatory actions.
Make no mistake, these two people were targeted and fired for their union leadership.
It will be very expensive for the citizens of this district as legal counsel Matt Hoffman is out of his depth and Hilmer & Co will have to hire someone else to represent them. (Don't expect them to go with the lowest bidder, or any bidder at all. Hilmer will choose the priciest gun he can get.)

We all can agree that the 3 Board members at Mehlville Fire District have cut costs. At the expense of the employees.
Since we are all used to paying this miniscuel amount, I think it wouldn't take much to update the equipment on the trucks and ambulances. I just learned that they are still using a card file system. It's a 3 by 5 card with the directions written on it. A number of districts comparable to Mehlville have laptops in the trucks. With this computer it brings up the street, some sort of a preplan (what ever that is) hydrants and much much more that I can't remember.

just a thought.

From what I understand the ditrict can't even keep the fire house computers up and working most of the time!

I do not know Stonebraker, but he surely has more class then this idiot Mike Heins.
