Digging a Little Deeper in the Well

Unlike Call Newspaper reporter Burke Wasson, I went further than just the St. Louis County Election Board's records when researching the financial backers of the Rex (Sinquefield) Rangers and their extreme right wing attempt to take over the Mehlville School District.
At the election board, you'll find only Chris Brown of the Brown, Bertelson, Mooy slate even bothered to form a committee. Why should they with Mike Becker as their puppetmaster? They might actually have to think and act on their own if they did.

Hilmers front man Michael Becker must be trying to renew his operation of the Maplewood Deer Creek Fee license office by pumping money into the Kenny Hulshof for Governor campain fund committee. He definately knows how to play the you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours game. Rumor has it, that the reason he headed up the committee that supported three people put up by Hilmer and his buddy James Stony Stonebraker was a form of repayment for Hilmer,Stegman and Ryan's decision to hire his little brother Marty Becker to work in MFPD. I wonder under what circumstances he was forced to leave Ladue Fire Department?

This is too much to believe. Mike Becker's brother was hired by Arron Hilmer after he was let go by Ladue FD. I don't know if we can say their was some quid pro quo going on but there's certainly a bunch of dots connecting these folks and this is blatant cronyism at the very last. Tell me more.

Cronyism, lies, and Hilmer go hand in hand. One has to wonder what he is getting back from Handing Mike Leara and his flunky financial group over $15 million of MFPD employees 457 Dollars? Also, What is he getting back for giving his high school buddy, Dean Egerdean (who Hilmer denied knowing) the Health care contract for the MFPD. Egerdean was on the front page of the Call in the picture election night at Hilmer's house celebrating the Ryan victory. Scratch Hilmer's back and he will scratch yours. Wonder What else is out there?

I thought the Hillmer/Stegman campaign said the there would be no more nepotism or cronyism in the hiring practices! BAH!!!
They would do anything to advance there dictatorship style political agenda.

I guess its OK for an outside group like the NEA to support their slate of candidates, but its not OK for Mike Becker and Rex Sinquefield to support theirs.

SouthCountyMike said...

First, the NEA is not an outside group. They represent most of the teachers in our district of which probably 40 percent are district residents along with their families. They pay taxes here just like I do. Second, they gave three candidates a whopping 325 bucks each which was documented not hidden. Mike Becker lives at 7724 Big Bend Rd.That's Schrewsbury not Mehlville. He got a boatload of money through a bunch of shell PACs and tried to sneak something by the voters and I think they broke a few laws along the way. There's a world of difference here. These people don't have kids and don't care about our kids. They should be ashamed of themselves and so should you.

The St. Louis Labor Council also worked for Frank & Co.Are they an outside group? Mike Becker has First Amendment free-speech rights just as any other American. So does Rex.

Who cares where Becker lives, He is free to help anyone he wants to.

Ashamed of what? Not everybody thinks that socialized education run by the unions is the way to go. Don't give us the "kids" crap. Becker & Rex just want better opportunities for all children.

Bartolino's advertises in the Call! Shouldn't you boycott them?

Anonymous said...

The NEA is no more that a self serving union that only looks out for themselves and could care less about our kids in school. ITS ALL ABOUT 6% and you of all idiots should know that.

Thousands of members of the St. Louis Labor Council live and work in Mehlville, besides I looked through the campaign finance records and don't remember any significant money spent on any candidates. As I said before, many groups came together to make sure Rex's Rangers weren't elected.
10:43 You are right, he has a right and we have a right to know to know who and what are funding these campaigns.I'm glad more people are concerned with individual rights. Are you a member of the ACLU?
10:45 am Yeah, right. What has Becker ever done on behalf of kids before.
10:49 I like Bartolinos. I don't know of any boycott of the Call's advertisers. Since I don't read it, I don't know who they are. When I make major purchases, I check the Call and shop elsewhere.
1:15 Wow, do you mean that a group of people would actually form and work towards their own interests? Tell me more about that. How long has this kind of thing been going on? Our teachers are paid well below the county average. They deserve the money they receive. I would expect them to support those who would help them. The association's candidates don't always win. Karl Frank wasn't endorsed the first time. He had the support of many Republicans and the Call. Mike O'Cello wasn't endorsed by the teachers either. Larry Felton wasn't last year. Rex's Rangers caused several groups to join together. If you have a problem with the outcome of the election, you can thank Mike Becker and his buddy James Stonebraker.

Your site doesn't contain ONE WORD OF PROOF concerning your wild conspiracy theories about Hilmer, Becker and Stonebraker. Keep shooting your mouth off, all 3 of these guys have good lawyers.

I stopped eating at Bartolino's after seeing that they advertise on this hate site.

If you don't read the Call, how do you know about what they write about?

SouthCountyMike said...

5:19 I don't have theories, conspiracy or otherwise. I have a money trail.
5:20 I don't know to what you are referring. How many times do I have to say this, I don't read the Call. The last time I looked at it was in February. I just looked at the auto ads and shopped elsewhere.
I will do that for every major purchase I make. I do get a phone call occasionally about our weakly newspaper.

Why would anyone want to call their lawyer? Can I be sued for sharing the truth? I will gladly correct any information that's put on this site incorrectly by myself or anyone else. The truth is scary enough. We don't need fiction.

It's great that Mike Becker has
1st Amendment Rights. We had them at the fire dpartment as well up till Hilmer/Stegman got in as BOD's. Now we face being fired for freedom of speech! That's why the anonymous input here.
The other anonymous ones are cowards to show there name so they don't go down with the Hilmer/Stegman ship.
