All these meetings what a waste of tax dollars. Aaron gets 100.00 every meeting and blink and nod get 50 and most of the meeting is closed to the public anyway I smell a ripoff

The word is out in the fire community. You don't want to work there. Mehlville has become a stepping stone for people with wet-ink certifications who will leave at the first opportunity. They come to us with fresh EMT licenses, Mehlville taxpayers pay to put them through fire school. They practice their new skills on our residents then go somewhere else. We are so screwed.

If I understand Chief Timmy's new salary structure, the "fair" way to treat men and women who haven't had a raise in eight years is to deny them raises for another three years. This community should be ashamed.

I hear there are over 100 applicants for the 3 open positions at MFPD. Looks to me like plenty people want to work there no matter what you malcontents may think. Missouri is an at-will state and Local 1889 has no memorandum of understanding or contract with the board so Timmy has a free hand to ax whoever he wants.
If you ungrateful MFPD personnel don't want work there anymore, there are younger and more qualified replacements lined up to replace you. You should be thankful to have at great job and make so much money. BTW, did you guys thank the mean and evil board for your nice Christmas from Rick and Charlie's? I doubt South County Mike post this.

If we should get lucky and hire a good one, and I'm sure we do every now and then, they will go to school on our dime. Then they will move on to a better district as soon as they can! It's that simple. When it's your wife trapped in an upside down automobile on I-55 or your granddaughter can't breathe after stepping into a swarm of bees, you won't want the least experienced provider on the scene. Cause when that young man (or women) looks to his left for that nod that he's dong the right thing, he shouldn't be looking at someone with less experience than him. The skillsets these folks have aren't acquired in the classrooms. They're taught in our homes and on our streets, when the elements are at their worst, when people are screaming and parents are scared. And while all of this is going down, nobody's thinking that they'd like to find a cheaper responder.

Someone thinks they are above the Law by sitting out in front of Law abiding citizens homes and messing with they're cell phones. and who knows what ever a so called web master is capable of. As a firefighter from the Fenton Fire District we all agree that Mehlville is a big laugh and a very discredit to the fire service. With the inexperience new chief and training officer we will always send a chief officer on all assist that we make to Mehlville do to the fact we think someone is going to get killed with the lane brains that are now incharge.
8:55 pm Know you know why we the firefighters of Crestwood did not want to go with Mehlville when Aaron Hilmer sent a letter to our City fathers. We would have probably gotten a pay increase but most of us would decline if it was with going with Mehlville. Now that the Directors promoted Tim White that would even make our decision easier. A Chief that is appointed because he is a tail carrier to the directors is some one that we do not want for a leader.
But but we are a premier Fire Dist headed up by one of the greatest chiefs after a nation wide search of really good chiefs. and um we have saved the tax payrs so much money with our historic tax decrease. and we um um um. Ok you caught me im being sarcastic. THere you go Voters noone wants to play firefighter with Timmy

Mehlville is one of the worst fire agencies in the State. Just ask any fire department in St. Louis County and the Rock Community Fire District in Jefferson County. AND its not the firefighters that are causing the hate and discontent. When you promote a guy that is a snitch to the board to fire chief and a training officer whos father makes a big profit on selling land to the Board that promoted his son who was a captain just two months for a fire station site that is not big enough to park a pick up truck on. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THAT PICTURE. The Mehlville Fire District has more sneaky crap going on then the Illionis politications. Again Chief White is probably one of the bigest dope heads in South County:

5)lives in a $400,000 house someone else's sweat and brains paid for; pays his bills the same way (plays with trust fund and calls himself an "investor")
6)has no known educational degrees, certifications or job skills which would qualify him to do ANYTHING, ANYWHERE for ANYONE
7)is abrasive, insulting, politically motivated and connected

What have you got? A fire district brought to its knees in five short years. A fire district held in contempt by other emergency services. A fire district with revolving door employment. A fire district in which public safety has been severely compromised.

Wasn't it Hilmer who cried because the ex-Chief made $110,000 a year? Isn't Tim White making this now and isn't Silvernail making the same amount of money? So really we have to pay out $220,000+ for the chiefs salaries.
I think White should make a hell of a lot more then $110,000 for all the work he does plus his dedication to the Mehlville Fire District. There is no one more devoted to his job and of course cleaning up a defunked District is not easy.
