South St. Louis County is a nice place to live. It'll be a better place when Call Newspapers no longer exist. Do what you can to make that happen. Don't read it, advertise in it or support those that do.

Farewell Patrick Wallace
The new Mehlville School Board was at work less than an hour and fired their first person, the district's public relations man Patrick Wallace. This wasn't unexpected as Karl Frank , Jr. has made his intentions known that he wanted Wallace fired prior to joining the school board three years ago. Frank thought that Wallace had campaigned for someone else in his first attempt for the board. During Frank's tenure as a school board member, he has also sought to fire Wallace for his refusal to violate copyright laws. Wallace would not authorize the Call Newspapers to print the MHS senior picture without permission from the owner.

Karl Frank is a complete idiot.
Why don't several groups get together to get rid of him?
Do you just make up this crap as you go along?
I think that the Mehlville School Board has just shoot themselves in the foot by firing Patrick Wallace. Now who is going to run all of the functions he ran (awards ceremonies like the on this Thursday or all of the senior citizen stuff) and put out the Mehlville Messenger and make sure that the school district has a bunch of positive publicity? I don't think the school board really knows how much work Patrick actually put into his job. Also, I'm just curious, but do you the the count of who was for and against the renewal of his contract?
On a side note, I am sorry the board is being such asses (sorry for the language, but it feel appropriate) and decided that you do not deserve a distinguished service award. People may call you a hater but the people on the board (as well as the call) have a list of people they hate as well.
6:24 I don't have an answer for you.
6:52 These are facts. Would you like to pay for my polygraph?

Thanks and I don't hate anyone. There are quite a number that I have very little respect for.
The vote was 7-0. One member voted with the majority so that he had the option later to move to reconsider the motion.
I am sorry but Wallace had to go. When a person forgets who is bosses are its time to move on.
I agree with your theory but Frank had Wallace in his crosshairs for 4 years.
Wallace has always been for himself and I wonder how much extra he got from the School District? I don't think its about bosses. I am sure glad the Lindbergh School District is run in a very professional way with out individuals like Wallace on the pay roll. I believe that the Mehlville School District is going in the right direction with Karl Frank at the top leadership roll. And of course that is why the people voted him in.
I agree with you that the Lindbergh school district is run in a professional way. It's unfortunate that Mehlville's proffesionalsim is not treated in the media (the Call) in the same manner.
The April 25, 2008 5:27 PM e-mail could only have been written by Karl Frank. One of his psych diagnosis is "suffering from feelings of grandiose".
Apparently, Karl Frank forgets he came in third riding on Drew's coat tail. Karl wouldn't have been reelected if he ran on his own. He's not as well-liked as he leads others to believe. I know for a fact some of the teachers can't stand him personally.
Was Patrick really fired because of the Distinguished Service Award? What is the truth?
Patrick was told by Mr. Noble that he should expect not to be renewed long before the DSA absurdty was brought forward. Should any of this nonsense be used to justify his dismissal, I'm sure the district will be making some large payments to Patrick. If you just look to last year, an attempt was made to not give him a raise, the only one out of 1,100 employees.
He does not justify a dime.
When you make such a persuasive argument, I don’t know how anyone could disagree.
