I attended last evening’s Mehlville Fire Protection District board meeting. I stayed for all three minutes of it. They approved the minutes from August and had one public comment. A captain in the department asked for a copy of the new training evaluation criteria. Then the board went into closed session.
I have just a couple of quick comments.
I shouldn’t be surprised anymore by what happens in our fire district but I was. How in the world could you implement a new fitness for duty program and not share the details with the firefighters?
Also, Aaron Hilmer is a slob. This guy walks in a little late looking like he just got out of bed. His hair was dirty, he was unshaven and he was wearing gym clothes. It’s remarkable that he could care so little about his appearance when he’s the board chairman of a uniformed institution. If the new chief would have pulled out one of his famous irons, we all could have enjoyed a laugh.

Hilmer's got more than one loose screw. Pity more people don't attend these meetings. Then word would be out in the community how far off the wall he is.
Is Aaron feeling down, or maybe he is upset by that unce Jimmy is'nt as smart as he thought he was. hmmm
he never wears a suit and tie to the board meetings. The fire department is a toy to him and he likes to play in his play clothes!
