South St. Louis County is a nice place to live. It'll be a better place when Call Newspapers no longer exist. Do what you can to make that happen. Don't read it, advertise in it or support those that do.

Vacation Over
I'm back. I needed some time to work on a golf tourney. Although I wasn't working the BLOG, I've heard of others who've spread their gossip about me. Shame on them. I also waited, but didn't get any mail, challenging any of my comments or assertions. I gave everyone a chance. It was a nice break. For those who've advised me to tone it down, I've listened. That doesn't mean I'll change my direction, only my tone. I recognize that I can be more respectful in my dissent. I pledge to give it a try.

The tone is on the money. I guess some people don't like the negative input against them.
Looks like MFPD is losing some more of there better men. Oh well. The board will relace them with people fresh out of medic school and call it better service! Not to mention that they will have to send them to the fire academy as well.
Pray that you don't get one of them when you call 911!
I agree that what upsets certain indibiduals is not my tone but what I dig up and connect.Certain public and polical background figures have been given a free ride by the local news media. I understand MFPD lost another experienced medic this week. He won't be replaced. We need to make this known.
I am pleased by your change of tone. Let's debate the issues of the day without the personal attacks. We can all have an opinion but let's express ourselves with dignity.
Since MFPD personnel have said that they "don't care if someone's house burns down...because the public disrespects us" I am glad that new people with a better attitude will replace them.
Glad to hear about a more positive tone from the South County News! I'll start reading you again!
5:22 I've heard this comment attributed to MFPD Personnel before but where did it come from? Certainly, I would have a problem with someone who said that, but this is just gossip as far as I'm concerned. Even if it were true(and I doubt it) it wouldn't reflect on the majority of the staff of the organization. I'm sure there is an individual at AB that doesn't care about the quality of their beer, but I'm confident that is a very small minority.
5:19 and 5:25 Thanks for your comments. I'm sure I will have some negative things to say about people. If I find things in public records about people's personal lives that is hypocritical compared to what they try to portray in their public lives, I plan to bring that to light.I have a history of working with people that have strong differing views and I've still had good relationships with them. I plan to be more like that. Remind me if I need it.
The comment was posted on Tom Ford's blog.
So the comment attributed to a MFPD firefighter was made anonymously on a BLOG. It could have been made by anyone on earth with access to the internet.
Yes the comment was on the crestwood independent, but as Mike stated it was under the nome de plume "anonymous," so, a fire fighter? I would think not, but we will never know.

Stoney probably did it to make the firefighters look bad and them great!
Stoney is too intelligent for such garbage.

Are you positive of that?
