I won't put anything on here that's not the truth, which means I can't be sued. If I write something that is misleading by accident and you point it out, I'll correct it with an apology. I've been doing this about 9 months now and the only time I had something wrong is when I said our fire chief had two restraining orders against him. I didn't know one had expired. Hell, don't harass your employees and constituents and there won't be anything to write about. For you thieves out there, don't get caught stealing anything and I won't call you a thief.

I doubt it's from Mr. Stonebraker himself. It's probably one of his groupies. I'll admit that Stoney seems literate which I can't say for these clowns.
You know, I don't mind people writing in anonmymously, but if they're going to threaten somebody, they should try to grow a pair and say who they are.

A Red Robin "server" should have no problem with me. I've never stepped foot in one and have no intention of ever doing so.
I agree there us no reason to put a threat on anyone, howeve when you write the blogs that are so full of crap that you put out there, some people will make threats even though it is not the right thing to do.

It really must be great to go to their gatherings and tell the masses how they "told you! Only one thing wrong, they didn't because they wern't brave enough to give their name, ergo, moot point!

Red Robin's a hamburger joint. I believe it was made reference to because one of the Wet Spot's friends works there.
I haven't seen the Frankism. You'll have to share. I'm sure there are things we could all agree on.
A mention of teachers in Mehlville and salaries on southcountytruth's blog---I think he needs to check his math and get his numbers right. He mentions that Mehlville teachers earn an average of $49000 and work 6.5 hours a day for something like an average of $45 per hour. Let's look at this math. Teachers are required to work 7.5 hours a day for 192 days, adding up to 1440 hours. Add the 60 hours teachers work at conferences and after school meetings, and we get 1500 hours required. This does not take into account the "volunteer" hours teachers work all the time, staying after their contract requires. Using the 1500 hours, Mehlville teachers average $32 per hour. Sounds high? Equipment operators at Spiritas earn $28 per hour for the first 8 hours, then TIME AND A HALF for the remaining 32 hours ($42 per hour). So I think teachers are underpaid. As such, look at other districts, salary, and ACT scores.
Mehlville--$49,000. ACT- 21.8
Clayton--$64,000 ACT- 25.3
Kirkwood--$56,000 ACT- 23.9
Pattonville--$52,000 ACT- 22.0
I guess that the people complaining about teacher salaries in Mehlville are getting what they paid for in terms of ACT scores.
You forgot to mention that more parents are involved with their children in all those districts you compare to Mehlville. If a parent is active in the students studies he/she will do better.
The big questions is not the teachers pay, but how much money is wasted on items that do not affect the classroom. Too many students do not have the tools to effectively study thanks to UNICOM-ARC, artificial turf on football fields, high administrator salaries, and the list goes on. But wait a minute these items can't be printed in the Mehlville Messenger it only has to have those warm and fuzz stories.
I wonder how you know that there is more parent involvement in other districts. Do you have some way to measure this? Is there some report that shows this? Or is it more likely an assumption that you are making regarding those districts.
The other statement regarding teacher pay. Think about it...if you are a highly qualiied teacher and one district is offering you $40,000 and another district is offering you $45,000 you will choose the higher pay. So Mehlville gets to hire people that other districts pass over. Look at some of the losses Mehlville has had over the years in terms of staff...some of the very best teachers and administrators leave and go to other districts, usually for higher pay. It's embarrassing that Mehlville ranks in the bottom 2 in St. Louis county for starting teacher pay, with Wellston being the only one below.
I agree that paying UNICOM the money is a waste, as was the artificial turf. However, teacher salaries need to rise in order to recruit and retain the very best. Mehlville should be a teacher's first choice, not their last choice. And think about it, what do you really think will be published in the Mehlville Messenger?
